Literacy Week 2025: Merayakan Kreativitas, Bahasa, dan Cinta Budaya di SD Edu Global Medan

 

   SD Edu Global Medan sukses menyelenggarakan Literacy Week 2025 pada 27–31 Oktober 2025, sebuah pekan literasi yang dirancang penuh keceriaan dan makna untuk siswa kelas 1 dan 2. Dengan tema “Building Global Perspective Through Carnaval Post”, kegiatan ini menghadirkan pengalaman belajar yang memperkaya wawasan, menumbuhkan kecintaan terhadap bahasa, serta memperkuat karakter siswa melalui beragam aktivitas menarik. Orang tua, guru, dan siswa bersama-sama merasakan suasana belajar yang hangat, kreatif, dan inspiratif selama rangkaian kegiatan berlangsung.

   Pekan literasi dibuka dengan rangkaian aktivitas di tiga pos utama: Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris, dan Bahasa Arab. Pada pos Bahasa Indonesia, siswa mengikuti kegiatan Cinta Budaya Indonesia yang memperkenalkan kekayaan budaya Nusantara. Melalui permainan memasangkan baju adat dengan rumah adat, siswa belajar bahwa Indonesia memiliki keberagaman budaya yang indah dan patut dibanggakan. Mereka juga menyusun potongan kata bertema Sumpah Pemuda, seperti “Satu Nusa, Satu Bangsa, Satu Bahasa”, yang membantu mereka memahami makna persatuan secara sederhana, bertepatan dengan peringatan Hari Sumpah Pemuda.

   Di pos Bahasa Inggris, suasana ceria terpancar dari kegiatan Spelling Bee dan Vocab Hunter. Melalui kompetisi mengeja dan berburu kartu kosakata yang tersembunyi, siswa tidak hanya belajar Bahasa Inggris, tetapi juga berlatih konsentrasi, ketelitian, dan keberanian untuk mencoba. Aktivitas ini membuat pembelajaran terasa seperti permainan yang menyenangkan sekaligus mendukung penguasaan kosakata dasar.

  Sementara itu, di pos Bahasa Arab, siswa belajar menyusun huruf-huruf hijaiyah menjadi rangkaian yang benar. Aktivitas ini tidak hanya membantu mereka mengenal huruf Arab dengan lebih baik, tetapi juga melatih koordinasi, fokus, dan ketelitian melalui cara belajar yang ramah anak.

 Tidak hanya itu, Literacy Week 2025 semakin hidup dengan penyelenggaraan lomba bercerita, storytelling, dan pidato. Lomba bercerita dalam Bahasa Indonesia mendorong siswa tampil percaya diri dengan membawakan cerita rakyat atau kisah bermakna. Pada sesi storytelling Bahasa Inggris, siswa menunjukkan kreativitas dan keberanian berbicara di depan teman-teman. Sedangkan lomba pidato memberi kesempatan bagi mereka untuk menyampaikan pesan atau nilai positif dengan bahasa yang runtut dan jelas. Ketiga lomba ini menjadi panggung kecil bagi siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berbicara dan mengekspresikan diri.

  Keseluruhan kegiatan dalam Carnaval Post ini dirancang dengn menghadirkan suasana belajar yang meriah, interaktif, dan sangat menyenangkan bagi siswa. Setiap aktivitas memberikan pengalaman baru yang memperkaya literasi, memperluas wawasan global, sekaligus memperkuat kecintaan terhadap budaya Indonesia.

  Pada penutupan kegiatan, terlihat jelas perkembangan positif dalam diri para siswa. Mereka lebih berani berbicara, lebih tertarik membaca, dan lebih memahami keberagaman budaya baik dalam skala global maupun nasional. Literacy Week 2025 menjadi bukti nyata komitmen SD Edu Global Medan dalam membangun generasi yang literat, kreatif, berkarakter, dan berwawasan luas merupakan sebuah fondasi penting bagi masa depan anak-anak.
